Come learn about this exciting cooperative project between the City of Wilson and the Neuse RIVERKEEPER® Foundation to improve the water quality and condition of Contentnea Creek within the jurisdictional area of the City of Wilson. This includes portions of Moccasin and Turkey Creeks, Buckhorn Lake, and downstream to Wiggins Mill reservoir.
View maps and photos of the project area and learn about ways that you can become a volunteer and/or participate in fun activities on and around Contnetnea Creek and the surrounding areas. Hear short presentations by the Lower Neuse Riverkeeper®, Larry Baldwin, local Wilson historian and Chairman of Wilson County Tourism, Bobby Boykin and Keith Barnes, reporter and photographer from the Wilson Daily Times. Light snacks will be provided by "Kitty Meares Catering".
